DIY Lavender Wreath

DIY Lavender Wreath:

Items Needed: Dried Lavender, branch or wire wreath, twine, flower wire, and flower fixative

Steps:

  1. Lay out lavender on a table that's easy to clean later.
  2. Prepare making lavender bunches or bundles.
  3. If using different variations of lavender, select a mix for each bunch.
  4. Place upright lavender in middle and lavender that leans on one side on the outskirts.
  5. Your hand should be wrapped around the bunch or bundles.  This is when you know you're done.
  6. Use twine to tie a knot on the bottom stems.  I quadruple tied a knot.
  7. Cut the bottom of the stems so they're even.  I left about a half of inch from the twine.
  8. Use the wire to tie the bundle on a branch or wire wreath.
  9. Repeat steps 2 through 6.
  10. Stagger the second bunch to cover the stems of the first bunch.  Ensure lavender is fanned outward.
  11. Repeat these steps until the wreath is complete.
  12. Spray with the flower fixative to preserve.
  13. Collect lavender that has fallen off stems and place in a bag for other craft purposes.
  14. Enjoy!
